I think I didn't post anything for a while because I didn't want to become obsessed with it. But all I've done is think about what I could write. Kind of obsessive, don't you think?
Had an interesting conversation with Hubbs last night. But before I go there, here's a little background:
We have two kids. They are wonderful blessings, but both were absolute surprises. Hubbs would like to be done having kiddos, I kind of want a few more. Yes, I said a few. Totally ok with that. Mini Bubbs is 3 months old this week, and here's the conversation we had:
Moms: 'I really want to not be done having kids...'
Hubbs: *groans*
Moms: 'You're SURE you don't want more? Not even to try for a girl?'
Hubbs: 'Eh, one of our friends will have a girl at some point.'
Moms: 'For real? You don't want more kids? I mean, you're not even 30 yet and you've decided this?'
Hubbs: 'Yep.'
Moms:*rolls eyes and walks away*
later on...
Moms: 'Honey, did you see so-and-so's new tattoo? It looks great!'
Hubbs: 'Yup.'
Moms: 'I really want one now...'
Hubbs: 'Tell ya what; if we are done with kids, you can get a tattoo.'
Ok, so how in the WORLD is a tattoo equal to a KID?! I didn't know what to say!
But, after the explosion that Big Bubbs had at church this morning, I'm thinking 2 is more than enough for now!!

Is this how this works?
I'm not really sure how to start a blog. I'm used to sharing random thoughts and events on Facebook, but to actually sit and compose a concise arraignment of thoughts is hard to figure out. I guess I'll start with a little about me, which makes no sense because IF anyone reads this, they probably know me...:
I'm married. Hubbs probably thinks that I'm slowly going insane, and most days I feel like it. The man puts up with so much insanity from me, it's surprising he's not completely bald or grey-headed. (By the way-my spell check says that grey is spelled wrong. It's not. I googled it. Booyah spell check. It is having a hey day with google and booyah.)
Ok, so husband is researching loony bins for wifey. Now for the reason that I probably will go insane: my two sweet boys. Big Bubbs is 5 1/2 going on 25. He likes to play video games with Hubbs, talk about getting a tattoo, and asks on an almost HOURLY basis "Is daddy home yet?!" Mini Bubbs isn't so vocal about his parental preference, seeing as how he's 8 weeks old. I'm sure he will share his brother's preference at some point. I have a feeling that Mini will be just that: a Mini of Big Bubbs. Nothing wrong with that, now that I know how to prepare...
So now on to me. I like to craft. Yep. I said it. I like to make things. Knit, crochet, sew, cook, whatever. There's something about creating things that makes me happy. This summer I plan to add soap making and bread baking to my repertoire. I get distracted easily. Mostly from the creating of things, or the internet. Hence the blog. I love classic rock, and could probably beat you any day, place, and time in a karaoke battle. Bring it on.
Well, that's it for now. I suppose that there will be posts regularly, but the spontaneity of it all is rather exciting, so keep checking back!
